In contrast to the florals and feminine cuts from spring and summer, autumn has taken a drastically different turn. The season includes “vampy” pieces such as leather clothing, capes, futuristic platforms and lots of dark colors. Dark make-up such as berry colored lipsticks and glosses (along with nude lips) and nail colors such as greys and dark cobalts top the list of trends for the season.
When looking at different designers, you can see that their pieces were a bit…dark, especially Alexander McQueen A/W 2010. He featured a lot of skulls, dark colors and graphics within his scarves and other items. Donna Karan, Narciso Rodriguez and Alexander Wang have all featured head to toe black looks on their runways as well.
